Real time shipborne weather data

OceanSync Hero Image 2023.jpg

OceanSync deploys automated weather stations enabling real time ship to shore transfer of high resolution weather data.

OceanSync enables shipping companies to create a digital weather database for their fleets so that one can fully understand the effects that the weather and oceans have on their vessels.

OceanSync collects real time weather data at a low cost such as wind speed, wind direction, wave height and other atmospheric conditions. Vessel position and motion are additionally collected and digitally stored allowing companies to have a clear picture of the effects that weather and oceans have on their operations.

With ever evolving weather patterns and sea conditions this digital database is becoming a must for companies who are serious about protecting their assets and contributing positively to greener shipping. Practical and educated decisions can be made on the future of their fleets when evaluating this valuable data which is available at one's fingertips. BETTER DATA = BETTER DECISIONS.

Additionally, data collected can be used to improve weather forecast accuracy, research and development, voyage reports and third-party applications for vessel management companies.

OceanSync has an experienced team made up of data scientists, data analysts, developers, engineers and seafarers who have the ability to assist you in keeping your fleet safe and efficient while contributing to a greener future.

Andre Bezanson, Ph.D.
Hardware Development

Andre has co-founded two startups, the second of which began life as an ocean tech company, Maritime bioLoggers, wherein he helped develop sensors for the study of marine wildlife. These sensors were then applied to the study and optimization of blood transportation systems under the brand of Motryx Inc.

In his first startup, he helped found Daxsonics Ultrasound Inc, an engineering consulting firm specializing in the design and fabrication of ultrasonic devices. The work was complemented by his graduate degree in biomedical engineering that focused on the development of high-resolution ultrasonic endoscopes.

Zoe Takacs
Hardware Engineer Intern

Zoe is a co-op student completing her bachelors in electrical engineering at Dalhousie University. Always eager to learn, Zoe enjoys the constant evolution engineering projects provide and the diverse approaches in their problem solving.

She spends her free time mountain/road biking, reading about bike trips, or day dreaming thereof. Driven by her love of the outdoors, Zoe hopes to help develop technology centered around environmental conservation and health.
